How Toxaprevent works in 3 simple steps
Think of Toxaprevent as a fleet of tiny garbage trucks. These Toxaprevent trucks have one job: to collect histamine, heavy metals, ammonium, mould, mycotoxins, biogenic amines, etc. And remove them from the body through the stool.
- Travel: Each grain of zeolite clinoptilolite travels through the digestive tract. The sachets cover your upper gut (mouth, oesophagus and stomach). The capsules cover your lower gut (small intestine and colon).
- Bind: Along the way, Toxaprevent collects the 'rubbish' your body doesn't need: excess histamine, ammonium, heavy metals, mycotoxins from mould, and other biogenic amines.
- Remove: the 'rubbish' is locked inside the zeolite's honeycomb structure and held there. (Once Toxaprevent has bound to the substance, it can not be unbound). The full garbage truck then leaves your body alongside your normal bowel movement.
Toxaprevent isn't absorbed, so it does its job in your gut and leaves the same way. Meaning it has an entry and an exit.

Why is Toxaprevent classed as a medical device and not a food supplement?
Toxaprevent is classified as a 2B Medical device, not a food supplement, and has held this approval since its launch in 2006.
Binders can not be classified as food supplements. Think about it: food supplements are designed to correct a nutritional deficiency. Binders don't correct anything; they bind. This is why we registered Toxaprevent as a medical device in 2006, as it works autonomously through the gut, binding what the body can be exposed to in excess: toxins.
Where is Toxaprevent made?
Toxaprevent is made in our GMP-certified facility in Germany. Our facility is independently third-party audited by TÜV Rheinland for our medical-device quality system (ISO 13485 and 9001).
