The Science of Electrolytes

The Daily Essential For Life.

Not just for athletes

Electrolytes are minerals that carry an electric charge and are essential for life.

Playing critical roles in nearly every physiological process.

In the body, key electrolytes include sodium, potassium, chloride, calcium, magnesium, and various trace minerals.

They maintain electrical neutrality in cells and generate the electrical impulses needed for nerve conduction and muscle contraction.

The key is balance

Proper electrolyte levels support fluid balance, stabilise blood pressure, help regulate pH, and ensure normal function of muscles which includes the most important muscle, the heart and nerves.

An imbalance – whether deficiency or excess – can disrupt bodily functions.

Sodium: Improves rehydration and enhances water absorption.

Calcium: Helps muscle contraction.

Magnesium & Potassium: Helps muscles relax and plays a major role in heart health.

Unlock Your Full Potential

We created the ultimate electrolyte blend for peak performance throughout the day. Electrolytes aren’t just for athletes. Your body needs the key minerals in electrolytes every day to keep you feeling your best, no matter what life throws your way.

Daily electrolytes contain key minerals that support overall well-being from mood and mental clarity, energy and focus, hydration, balance and muscle function.

Why we need electrolytes daily

Hydration

Without enough of these minerals our body can't pull water into cells. And we must keep our bodies properly hydrated throughout the day, no matter how active we are.

Energy and Focus

Electrolytes 'electrify' the cells and our body. Helping our body process and maintain energy levels. So you can power through your day, whether at work, school, or home.

Muscle Function

Electrolytes allow your muscle to contract, expand and grow. Prevent muscle cramps or fatigue, even if you’re just sitting at a desk or running errands.

Mood & Mental Clarity

Research has shown a balance in these minerals can help us stay focused and calm and boost mood.

Scientifically Backed Electrolytes. For Everyone.

Electrolytes on Mood and Cognition

Participants

174 healthy young adults (average age ~20), balanced between men and women

Design:

Randomised and double-blind trial

Results
  1. Even mild dehydration (just 0.66% body weight loss!) made people more irritable, tired, and anxious.
  2. People who drank plain water with electrolytes stayed in a better mood, felt more composed, and performed faster on attention and memory tests.
  3. Participants given electrolyte water reacted faster and paid better attention than those who had plain water, coloured water, or nothing.
  4. Mental tasks like memory recall and working memory (e.g., serial sevens) improved the most with electrolyte + water.

Electrolytes & Stroke Prevention in Women

Participants

Over 180,000 women, aged 25–55

Study Duration:

30 years.

Results
  1. Magnesium and potassium sharply reduced stroke risk. 19% lower risk of stroke with magnesium and supplementing with potassium reduced the risks by 29%
  2. The winning trio: Potassium, magnesium and calcium, women had higher intakes of all three minerals had up to a 28% improvement in heart health.

Electrolytes and CardiovascularDisease Risk

Objective:

Evaluate the relationship between electrolyte intake (mainly sodium and potassium) and cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk, and to question the efficacy of sodium restriction alone as a preventive measure.

Key findings:
  1. Sodium reduction is more effective in hypertensive than people with normal blood pressure.
  2. Potassium intake and the sodium-to-potassium ratio are more beneficial for cardiovascular health.
  3. Improving electrolyte balance (not just reducing sodium) had a stronger impact on overall health.
  4. The biggest source of high sodium was processed foods.
